Now Scrubbing In: O.R. Staffing Solutions Enters Texas

O.R. Staffing Solutions is now scrubbing in across Texas. We are a clinician-led perioperative staffing agency, and we are open for business in Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.

In fact, we are launching with all four metros at once. Facilities get one agency across the state. Likewise, clinicians get one employer with opportunities in every major market.

“I’m based in Dallas–Fort Worth, so this launch is personal. Staffing works best when the people behind it live where the work happens. That’s how we built our Chicago team, with local clinicians who know their facilities, and it’s how we’ll build Texas.”

Who We Are

O.R. Staffing Solutions was built by perioperative clinicians. People who have worked in the O.R. run our agency, so we understand the difference between a Surgical Technologist who can set up a room and one who can anticipate the surgeon’s next move.

Above all, we focus on perioperative care and nothing else. That focus shapes how we recruit, how we match clinicians to facilities, and how we support them once they are on site.

Who We Staff

We place the roles that keep a surgical day on schedule:

  • Registered Nurses
  • Surgical Technologists
  • Radiologic Technologists
  • GI Technologists
  • Surgical Assistants
  • Sterile Processing Technologists

Roles are available as travel, local, and per diem. That gives facilities coverage that flexes with their case volume, and gives clinicians the freedom to choose how and where they work.

Every clinician is a W-2 employee. That means workers’ comp, liability coverage and employer-paid short-term disability on every assignment, plus full benefits for full-time employees. Furthermore, we do not run an unattended marketplace style app and want to ensure skillsets match the needs helping to ensure successful patient outcomes.

Why Texas, and Why Now?

Texas has more than 500 ambulatory surgery centers. For example, Houston alone has 51, third among US cities, and it added more residents than any other US metro in 2024–25.

The hospital side is under strain too. For instance, the DSHS Hospital Nurse Staffing Survey (2024) reports a 16.4% RN vacancy rate and 23.2% median RN turnover in Texas hospitals. Moreover, the state is projected to be short 56,370 full-time RNs by 2036, and Central Texas faces a 26% shortfall.

Demand also swings by season. In Texas and Florida data, elective cases per day in December ran 20–21% above the January–November baseline. As a result, facilities need a partner they can call before the schedule fills.

Full coverage, Local Touch

Some agencies cover one city and stop at the county line. In contrast, we cover four metros and keep the local touch in each. Facilities work with a named account manager who knows their cases, and we aim to send the same faces for every request so your team does not retrain a new person each week.

For clinicians, credentialing is straightforward to check. Texas is a Nurse Licensure Compact state, making getting new travelers scrubbed in a Breeze. We understand exactly what’s needed for the assignments that match your skillset, and strive to set you up for success when traveling for new opportunities

How To Get Started

Facilities: tell us the roles, the case types, and the dates. Then we will build a plan around your schedule, whether you need a per diem fill for one room or a travel contract for a quarter.

Clinicians: tell us your specialty, your preferred metro, and your availability. Next, we will match you with roles and walk you through the benefits. Know a colleague who belongs on our team? We offer referral bonuses! Refer them here.

The Texas schedule is filling. If you run an ASC, Staff Your ASC with us today. If you work in the O.R., Explore Jobs and find your next opportunity.
